European good practice and training platform on the recognition of foreign qualifications.

Dear Bologna experts,

We ask your help to spread a survey to admissions officers and staff involved in recognition in your institution and country. The outcomes will be used to build a European good practice and training platform on the recognition of foreign qualifications.

Why is your help important and will it really make a difference to our project? First, admissions officers in the EHEA are a diffuse group and your network is one of the few channels to reach them efficiently. Second, a majority of recognition decisions is made within HEIs. Making a platform that is truly useful for admissions officers will mean we are an important step closer to streamlining recognition practices and removing mobility obstacles in the EHEA. Thirdly, to be a true European platform we need good geographical coverage throughout Europe. Right now we are especially in need for feedback from countries not represented in the project team.

The survey is accessible through the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Z88CJVM
On this page you also find more information about the STREAM project which builds this platform. The survey takes about 10 minutes and is open till1 October 2014.

STREAM is co-financed by Erasmus+ and the platform will be launched in the course of 2015. The STREAM consortium consists of: representatives from the ENIC-NARIC network (Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands), the European University Association (EUA), Tuning Educational Structures' Europe, the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK), the European Student Union (ESU), a special advisor from the US Network for Education Information (USNEI) and the Vice-President of the Lisbon Recognition Convention Committee.

We greatly appreciate your help. Please contact the STREAM team if you have any further questions (jlokhoff@nuffic.nl and wegewijs@nuffic.nl).
